During Victorian times Godey's Ladies book was seen to encourage girls to keep their shawls in motion as the act of letting a shawl slide down your shoulders and then be pulled back up could be used to draw the attention of a likely suitor. Girls were known to practice in front of mirrors to learn these manuevers. Our beautiful light blue shawl would have done any Victorian lady proud.
This lace shawl features hand sewn tufted flower design made of softest thread. (Lace pattern may vary.) Shawl measures 59"across the top and 35" at it's longest point and is finished with approximately 8" of fringe at the bottom.
