GirlScoutMom DFW area TX	I received my skirt less than a week from order date, which was rather nice. I was very impressed with the comfort, style, and workmanship it displayed. It's quite a nice skirt and I consider it to be a good value. My only complaint is on sizing. I wish the size chart showed a lower and upper range to account for the really nifty adjustable button panel. (Great feature for us women who tend to fluctuate in size a little!) I tend be on the bubble between L and XL, so usually go with the larger size to allow a margin for error and I didn't need to do so in this case. I'd say the XL would be comfortable on a 36-38" waist. Even when adjusted to it's smallest it was a bit too loose for my taste. The L is more true to 33-35", though the...

mixie Ohio	I wear skirts all day every day and am always on the lookout for something decent. This definitely fit the bill! I would have paid this much to buy material of this quality and have someone make the skirt. The skirt arrived in a very timely manner, is made of good quality material and weight, drapes well and has a simple but elegant silhouette. I thought the button closure ingenious. The size was a bit larger than expected - at first I thought to exchange for a smaller size, then decided to keep this one and order smaller in future. The customer service was also excellent. I have already recommended this website to several of my friends.

Elizabeth Cranbrook B.C...	I was desparate for this 1800 costum - as I was a guest speaker at a Toastmaster Christmas party.I did not leave enough time --but the Emporium staff really put themselves out to redajust my order for stock availability to fill my order and have it in the mail.I received the costum in time to iron the blouse and steam the skirt.In short I was the "bell of the ball"- thanks to the Historical EmporiumElizabeth Frost

JoEllen Oklahoma	We purchase all of my husband's clothes from Emporium and he won't even look anywhere else. When our church dressed in the 1800 mode for Thanksgiving, he insisted I order from them, too. These are NOT costumes. It is quality clothing. My skirt was just perfect although I ordered it too large. Well made, quality material. LOVED IT. And will wear it as a dress skirt with a frilly white blouse next.

KiVA Carson City NV	This is the classic black long skirt. It can be worn as a costume for several different eras from medieval to early 20th century. It can be worn with or without hoops. The waist can be adjusted using a clever button panel. It is timeless and always looks good. I gave it 4 stars because I have to starch and iron it to make it look its best. That's a lot of material to iron!
