Lizette Regina Pomeroy, Activist

Born into a politically active family, Lizette Regina received a fine education, including several years at the University of Michigan.

A firm believer in the rights of women, she has devoted her life to advancing women’s causes. She has lobbied tirelessly to protect women’s rights to own property, and to support charities to help the poor and the feeble.

Lizette boldly states that she expects women to gain the right to vote during her lifetime, a notion that seemed laughably quaint just a few years ago but is now gaining currency among progressive circles.
